This variation of a Chinese roof tile was created as a wall-hanging. It features a warrior figure riding a mythical qilin (a Chinese unicorn). The symbolism in Chinese culture is to provide protection and ward off evil spirits. It may also symbolize power or prosperity. While originally functional architectural elements, they are now frequently used as decorative items in homes and businesses.
